Color Club Space Case for PINK WEDNESDAY!

Yay! It's pink Wednesday and I finally have a pink to show you. Pink doesn't make it onto my nails too often so when it does I will have to remember to save it for Wednesdays!
My hubby got to pick this mani (probably why it's pink lol). I almost didn't listen to him but decided maybe I needed to step away from my comfort zone. One day was definitely enough! I was sooo ready to get it off my fingers lol. BUT it wasn't bad, the color is gorgeous. Easy application, one coat but mine was gloopy, probably need some thinner. I put the Starry Temptress Top Coat on top and I love the top coat!
Started with a coat of Gelous, one coat of Space Case, one coat Starry Temptress, one coat Seche Vite.

This is just Space case no top coat no Seche Vite, no cleanup so excuse the mess. It looks lumpy but it smoothed out really well once I put the topcoats on.

Now with the top coat!

Longest Names Ever!

This is one coat OPI You Don't Know Jaques! With a flower on my ring finger using OPI Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It, and a white nail art polish by So Easy called Strip Rite for the dot in the middle. This is my first attempt at nail art and I think it went pretty well. YDKJ was beautiful! My kind of color! It was sitting next to TDMMDI in the drawer and they just looked so cool together I couldn't help it. I did the flower on both hands thumb and ring finger as accents. This picture makes it look like the tips are messed up but they weren't IRL. Enjoy!

Zoya Savita with a Funky French

This purple is a Zoya Matte Velvet called Savita. It goes on easily and it is easy to switch up because it looks good matte or with a shiny topcoat it lets the pink shimmer come out.
I decided to just make the tips shiny like a funky french. I loved wearing it but it didn't last long I had a chip within 8 hours! Maybe if I had a topcoat it wouldn't have chipped. 
I started with a coat of Gelous two coats of Savita and one coat of Seche Vite on the tips.

BFF Nails!

These beautiful nails belong to my dearest friend Nona. We have been friends for 17 years now, she lived across the street from me and rode the same bus, it was inevitable. One of the things we bonded over all those years ago was nail polish. We both had an awful crush on a boy who lived in the neighborhood. So one of the ways we tried to get his attention (spied on him) to come hang out with us was to sit on one of our porches doing our nails. The boy didn't last but the nail polish and friendship have endured beautifully! 
We started with a coat of OPI base coat two thin coats Pure Ice Kiss Me Here two coats Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters and Hard Candy Matte Top Coat. Its beautiful just like her.

Sinful Purple Diamond

This purple caught my eye at Target. Its nice and fresh and girly but not terribly so.
This mani is one coat Gelous four thin coats Purple Diamond and one coat Seche Vite.

Speckled Concrete Nails

This is something I have had in mind for a while and I think it turned out really well except for the bubbling. 
I started with a base of Gelous, two coats of Pure Ice Kiss Me Here, (I love this blue leaning gray). It looks great on the nail and it is easy to apply. I topped it with Seche Vite then added Sally Hansen Set the Stage. Set the Stage is not so easy to work with, the glitter is sparse and the base is super thick, a very bad combo. After I took some picks with it still shiny, I added a coat of Hard Candy Matte. I don't use matte very often but this seemed like a good time. It reminds me of speckled concrete.

I have a few, I like to talk or yell in weird voices at my husband really randomly. lol

Yes, I don't like the ocean, and I am.... scared of closets connected to bathrooms, WEIRD I know

Just about anything that comes on the radio but me and my daughters favorite to sing is Rolling in the Deep by Adele. She knows the words too 

What's one of your biggest pet peeves?

I really don't like the word ain't and I am not a huge fan of cursing. I think I must be a bit prude but they just make me cringe.

What's one of your nervous habits?

I talk a LOT when I am nervous.

What side of the bed do you sleep on?

The right but if my husband isn't there I spread all out in the middle lol.

Dodi

What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?

Caramel Macchiato, and I like the Frappucinos too.

Sunscreen, but I try to practice it too!

Away from the water when I am rinsing towards the water when I am soaping up.

China Glaze Starboard

Of  course the sun finally comes out today when I have a cream on that doesn't need sun to show it off.
This is one coat Gelous, two coats Starboard, and one coat of Seche Vite. I got it the same day I got Fowl Play and I was almost as excited for it. Its a very flattering fun green, almost army green but not quite. For some reason it needs something else, a design, crackle.... maybe some sparkles I just think it lends itself to something extra.

Orly Fowl Play

This is from the new Orly collection called Birds of a Feather. It was the main one that stood out to me among the collection ( also want Sweet Peacock but I'm living on a budget :).
I started with a base of Gelous. One coat of Sinful Dream On, because I wanted it to be more purple-y. Then one easy coat of Orly Fowl Play. It's a dark purple jelly with orange flakys and blue sparkles. Beautiful! I found mine at Ulta and there were at least 2 other bottles left after I picked mine up. I topped it with a coat of  Seche Vite. Sorry the sun wouldn't come out and let me use it to show off the flakes better but I know I will be wearing this again.

1. How has your week been so far?

Definitely not my best. My Husband is on call once every six weeks so he has to stay late and it really throws a wrench in my life. Doesn't his boss care about meeee! lol

3. What was your worst nail polish related accident (ie: spills, bottle breaks)?

I was much younger but will never forget how bad I felt. I was at a sleepover with my two best friends and we decided to do our nails so we all brought our nail polish collection and sat on the bed together to get started. We were getting everything out and for whatever reason I tossed a bottle onto the pile in the middle of the bed and broke two bottles of polish that ruined the bedspread, I felt so bad! Also I once accidentally washed a brand new bottle of polish with a brand new skirt from my back to school clothes and ruined them both, I still remember that skirt it was an orange plaid mini skirt lol.

4. Out of all the products you use in the summertime, which ones do you love the scent of the most?

My P.S. I Love You perfume, I got it two or three years ago as part of a gift for being a bridesmaid and I love the smell. Also can't beat the smell of coppertone.

5. If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you move to?

This is hard. Me and my hubby talk about this all the time, I think Scotland but I also think NYC would be cool.

6. What is your favorite part of painting your nails?

The creativity, I feel almost like its art.

8. What type of mp3 player do you have?

Some Samsung thing but it doesn't have any songs on it, I haven't gotten into the mp3 thing yet I still do cds.

Waitress at a tiny Mexican restaurant called La Potosino (I think). The owner was the mother of my brothers best friend and I was awful at the job and barely made 40 a MONTH including tips, and this was 1999-2000

Zoya Faye is GORGEOUS!

I originally had on a jelly sandwich, but it was a fail. Sooooo I started over with something I could wear to a baby shower tomorrow. I picked something in between boring and unique, to be muggle friendly.
I started with old faithful Gelous, two coats of Zoya Faye and a top coat of Seche Vite, btw the fire is still burning in my love affair with Seche. If you don't have it go get it!
So the formula on Faye was a little watery but still pretty easy to work with. I didn't have any trouble with it. I love how it looks even with just one coat, but did two so you couldn't see through. It is a lavender base with gold shimmer, PACKED with gold shimmer. So much so that it looks like a rosy gold sometimes without a hint of lavender. I only have three Zoyas but I have plans for many many more. My only complaint would be the shimmer would NOT come off my skin after clean up, anybody know what I did wrong?

Sinful Sinful Sinful

This is Sinful Dream On and Sinful Green Ocean, this is not what Dream On really look like!
Dream On is a neon purple, it is much darker in real life. A beautiful color kinda of jelly and squishy. Green Ocean is a flaky in a slightly green tinged base. I have a lot of fun trying things with Green Ocean but sadly is the only flaky I have been able to come across. It is much more obvious in person, these pictures just do not do this mani justice. The flakies flash from blue to green. They are incredibly brilliant IRL. Sorry I am rambling I just wish I could show how cool this really is lol. I will definitely add this to my rotation, and suggest you pick up both!
I started with a layer of Gelous, and topped with a coat of Seche Vite.
