Essie Chinchilly with Sally Hansen HD DVD

I started with Essie Chinchilly, sorry for the lack of clean up. I usually wait until I am finished painting and everything is dry to do it. I wanted to show Chinchilly on its own before I added sparkles
This is one coat Gelous two coats Chinchilly. It is a brown leaning towards gray. Sometimes it almost looks like an army green, a definite chameleon.

Then I added a layer of Sally Hansen HD DVD, one of my favorite toppers. I may not be very creative but I am consistent

This is one coat Sally DVD and one coat Seche Vite. It has a pretty blue to pink flash.

Jelly Sammich!

This has been on my mind for a week. Not sure if I think it looks good.....
One coat GelousTwo (glooooopy) coats of China Glaze Secret Periwinkle one coat seche vite two (also gloooopy) coats of Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters two coats of Essie Sugar Daddy and another coat of Seche Vite. To say it was thick is an understatement. I don't know if it will ever dry.
Enjoy the weekend, long weekend if you get Monday off!

White Cap is GOLDEN

Sorry for the amount of pictures in this post but I am loving my nails right now and couldn't decide which pictures to show.
I loved brazilian soo much I couldn't bear to take it off yet so I decided to try adding a little something instead. I got China Glaze White Cap about three months ago but hadn't actually used it yet and thought this would be a nice chance. It is beautiful. White Cap seems to look good on most anything and this is no exception. It is one coat of White Cap with a layer of Seche Vite on top.

Essie Braziliant

Wow, this mani is so summery! Last night I told my husband he could pick my mani since I couldn't come up with any inspiration.  So he picks and I decide I'm not in the mood for the colors he picked lol.  I think I made the right decision. I will probably use his idea tonight (as long as he plays his cards right)
I have been searching for Braziliant ALL summer and finally found it, it is one of the few oranges that stood out to me. It seemed just right, not too bright but not too autumnal. It looks amazing on the nail with this subtle pink flash which gives it a silky texture that still looks wet a day later. Two coats for full coverage and it went on smooth.  I used a base coat of Gelous and a top coat of Seche Vite.

Let me tell you about Seche! I am officially converted! I started out in the nail polish game with Orly In A Snap which I thought was pretty good. When I ran out, I had just started reading nail blogs but wasn't all that into it yet (plus I was pregnant).  I tried China Glaze Flash Forward but it wasn't much better than Orly. I gave away the China Glaze to my muggle friend and tried Poshe. I was very happy (didn't think anything could be better).  But since everyone was crazy about Seche I thought (since I wasn't pregnant anymore) I would give it a try. Poshe ain't got nothin on Seche!  It's unreal.  It goes on smooth, like glass on the nail and dries super quick.  I bumped one of my nails about 3 minutes after putting on a coat of Seche and still didn't mess it up! I would still recommend all the top coats mentioned above but Seche is THE BEST. Posted by Picasa
