Wet n Wild Gray's Anatomy Over Sinful Black on Black

It's been so long! Sorry I haven't been posting but September has got me feeling less like myself. I promise next week will be better.
I have tons of new polishes I need to try, I am going to try not to buy anything else until the holiday lines come out. I want a few OPI a few China Glaze and lots of others lol. I will say what I have bought lately have been awesome bargains. My dad bought me a huge basket of polish from garage sales last weekend, some real winners. Also I got some good stuff from TJ Maxx and Big Lots. So I have plenty of untrieds I need to get through. The problem is that I am going to our state fair tomorrow and they always have a booth selling Konad and I really want to buy it this year. But I should probably just wait for Christmas and ask for it then.
Anyways onto the polish. This is something I wore a few weeks ago when I was really craving something dark. This is so pretty, I did one coat Gelous, one coat Black on Black (my go to black cream). One coat Gray's Anatomy and a top coat of Seche Vite. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Short and Square

I gave up on the round tips, I just prefer square, I am glad I gave it a try and now I know.
OK, these pictures are pathetic. I couldn't get the color to photograph accurately. The color is Color Club Pucci licious. I prepped my nails with OPI Chip Skip, I will tell you what I think about it after I have tried it for a while. One layer of Gelous, two coats of Pucci licious, I might have been able to do one but I didn't feel like babying it. Top coat is the amazing Seche Vite. I am a sucker for purple creams. This color was the main reason I wanted the Poptastic Collection. So onto the (awful) pictures.

I know this one is blurry but it's closer than the other pictures. With flash in shade.

Without flash in shade, its exactly like this but not... lol

Imagine these pictures but not so blue and more neon, then you have Pucci licious. Just believe me its gorgeous if you can you should get it.

Facets of Fuchsia!

Oh my goodness what a week. Sorry I only posted once but blogger would NOT post my pictures. Hopefully these pictures will work.
I know that my cleanup and cuticles are pretty sad but I haven't been taking very good care this week. I also got a new cleanup brush and I am still deciding if I like it so the cleanup isn't perfect.
I am also in transition with the shape of these nails, I can't seem to land on the perfect shape so be patient while they continue to change.
Now that I made a whole bunch of excuses onto the polish! This is one coat Gelous one coat Sinful Black on Black which is just a plain black creme. One coat of Revlon Facets of Fuchsia which is just beautiful. It is a dupe of Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance or a near dupe. One of the few colors I was considering spending 18 bucks on! Thankfully Revlon decided to help me save some money and made this beauty. So pretty purple/fuchsia glitters in a black jelly base. Topped with one coat of Seche Vite. This was the last FoF left at Target sooo glad I got there in time!

Essie Chinchilly with Sally Hansen HD DVD

I started with Essie Chinchilly, sorry for the lack of clean up. I usually wait until I am finished painting and everything is dry to do it. I wanted to show Chinchilly on its own before I added sparkles
This is one coat Gelous two coats Chinchilly. It is a brown leaning towards gray. Sometimes it almost looks like an army green, a definite chameleon.

Then I added a layer of Sally Hansen HD DVD, one of my favorite toppers. I may not be very creative but I am consistent

This is one coat Sally DVD and one coat Seche Vite. It has a pretty blue to pink flash.

Nicole by OPI Fanatical Fuchsia

I am having a very tired Monday so this is gonna be short and sweet.
I only have one NOPI (Nicole by OPI) but every time I wear this I realize I need more. Such a pretty pink duo chrome. This is my mom's favorite color in my collection she says it looks like grape jelly on her toes.
Started with a coat of Gelous two coats Fanatical Fuchsia and one coat of Seche Vite.
This is one of my oldest polishes but I think it's still easy to find.

What do you think of my new rounded tips?

Kind of like Orly Rock Solid?

I had a chance to pick up Rock Solid but I skipped it. I still don't know if I regret it but after seeing swatch after swatch, I decided to try to recreate it using what I had. It isn't exact but I still like it.
I started with a coat of Gelous, two coats Pure Ice Kiss Me There, a coat of OPI Birthday Babe (my only silver, I don't think it looks very good on me) a coat of China Glaze White Cap and a coat of Color Club Starry Temptress Topcoat and a layer of Seche Vite.
I wish it turned out darker, I don't like how bright birthday babe is, again I just don't think silver is for me. I wanted it to look more gritty and less smooth so thats where White Cap came in. Then I wanted some holo sparkles and Starry Temptress was happy to oblige. Sorry about the oily cuticles I just put on cuticle oil before I took pictures. It is much more Holographic in real life I am just bad a photographing it!

OPI Back in the Saddle

This is my OLDEST polish. I think I bought it sometime in High School.... which was in the ballpark of not quite ten years ago. It is a black label which I think means old formula. I had to add thinner but it worked out fine.
It looks a lot like Essie Braziliant. In reality it is much more muted, almost rusty or burnt orange. I like it but don't love it maybe it needs to grow on me. It has a really pretty golden shimmer to it, more like a metallic flash than shimmer.
I did one coat Gelous two coats Back in the Saddle which was very easy to work with and a top coat of Seche Vite.
I am really starting to like my rounded nails but they don't photograph as well to me.

Outdoor shade.

Sunny!

Wet n Wild Night Prowl

These are some great polishes! Cheap and very good application. This was one coat Gelous 3 coats Night Prowl which was a bit thin but you could put it over black just as easily. Then one coat Seche Vite.
I rounded my nails, they were starting to peel on the edge of a few. I knew I had to bring them down shorter but I didn't want them too short so I tried to just get rid of what was peeling and this is what was left. Normally I always prefer square or squoval but this is pretty and a nice change. We will see how long it lasts.
I have been loving these darker colors for fall, I have a few I am dying to try but I feel the need to wait for it to get super cold. I live in Oklahoma and it doesn't get "super" cold until the end of October and sometimes later so I have to wait a while. Hope you're enjoying the beginning of fall, I know I am!

Doctor Blue

This is a franken I made. I was reading the MUA boards and someone asked about the underwhelming htfs and someone mentioned Essie Starry Starry Night and how easy it would be to franken so I thought I would give it a shot. I know it isn't an exact dupe but it made me happy.
My hubby came up with the name, we are both obsessed with Doctor Who and hubby said it almost looked like Tardis Blue.
I did about 1/2 Wet n Wild Blue Moon about 10 drops China Glaze Indian Ocean and the rest Pure Ice Beware.
One coat gelous two coats Doctor Blue and one coat Seche Vite. LOVE IT!

Old China Glaze

My Dad goes to garage sales most Saturdays and I asked him to pick me up nail polish if he ever comes across something interesting, this is one he found. He found three bottles of this all together but they don't look like they are full. It is an oooold China Glaze called Indian Ocean.
This is one coat Gelous two coats Indian Ocean and one coat Seche Vite. This formula was super smelly but very easy to put on, I think it may be the old formula. I had application issues but probably my fault more than the polish. For how old it was it wasn't gloopy at all but I don't know if the previous owner added thinner or not.
It's dark blue with a light blue silky flash. It almost looks purple sometimes. I love it and I am soooo glad my Dad picks these interesting colors up for me.
