Kind of like Orly Rock Solid?

I had a chance to pick up Rock Solid but I skipped it. I still don't know if I regret it but after seeing swatch after swatch, I decided to try to recreate it using what I had. It isn't exact but I still like it.
I started with a coat of Gelous, two coats Pure Ice Kiss Me There, a coat of OPI Birthday Babe (my only silver, I don't think it looks very good on me) a coat of China Glaze White Cap and a coat of Color Club Starry Temptress Topcoat and a layer of Seche Vite.
I wish it turned out darker, I don't like how bright birthday babe is, again I just don't think silver is for me. I wanted it to look more gritty and less smooth so thats where White Cap came in. Then I wanted some holo sparkles and Starry Temptress was happy to oblige. Sorry about the oily cuticles I just put on cuticle oil before I took pictures. It is much more Holographic in real life I am just bad a photographing it!

Jelly Sammich!

This has been on my mind for a week. Not sure if I think it looks good.....
One coat GelousTwo (glooooopy) coats of China Glaze Secret Periwinkle one coat seche vite two (also gloooopy) coats of Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters two coats of Essie Sugar Daddy and another coat of Seche Vite. To say it was thick is an understatement. I don't know if it will ever dry.
Enjoy the weekend, long weekend if you get Monday off!

Old China Glaze

My Dad goes to garage sales most Saturdays and I asked him to pick me up nail polish if he ever comes across something interesting, this is one he found. He found three bottles of this all together but they don't look like they are full. It is an oooold China Glaze called Indian Ocean.
This is one coat Gelous two coats Indian Ocean and one coat Seche Vite. This formula was super smelly but very easy to put on, I think it may be the old formula. I had application issues but probably my fault more than the polish. For how old it was it wasn't gloopy at all but I don't know if the previous owner added thinner or not.
It's dark blue with a light blue silky flash. It almost looks purple sometimes. I love it and I am soooo glad my Dad picks these interesting colors up for me.

China Glaze Starboard

Of  course the sun finally comes out today when I have a cream on that doesn't need sun to show it off.
This is one coat Gelous, two coats Starboard, and one coat of Seche Vite. I got it the same day I got Fowl Play and I was almost as excited for it. Its a very flattering fun green, almost army green but not quite. For some reason it needs something else, a design, crackle.... maybe some sparkles I just think it lends itself to something extra.

White Cap is GOLDEN

Sorry for the amount of pictures in this post but I am loving my nails right now and couldn't decide which pictures to show.
I loved brazilian soo much I couldn't bear to take it off yet so I decided to try adding a little something instead. I got China Glaze White Cap about three months ago but hadn't actually used it yet and thought this would be a nice chance. It is beautiful. White Cap seems to look good on most anything and this is no exception. It is one coat of White Cap with a layer of Seche Vite on top.

What's Crackle Lackin'

For this mani, I started with Hard Candy Splendid (wish I had taken pictures with it alone). Put it on last Wednesday and I LOVED it. It was not very easy to work with but most yellows aren't. I used four coats to get full coverage and let them dry between. It wasn't the fastest mani but worth it. The next day I covered it with China Glaze Crushed Candy and loved it even more. I never meant to wear it this long but that's what happens with a newborn. Luckily the wear has been minimal, zero chips nearly a week later. I used Gelous base coat and Poshe Top Coat on the yellow then Orly In a Snap over the crackle.
